Is Kardiamobile 6Lead EKG reliable?

Easy Functionality and FDA approved

In this report of the KardiaMobile EKG heart monitor review, I found that there’s a lot of copy-cat mobile ECG devices which have been feeding off of KardiaMobile, as well as the success of Apple Watch. They’ve both received FDA approval for their mobile ECG devices. Both have a large number of published studies supporting their accuracy.

Apple Watch 4 and AliveCor’s KardiaMobile mobile ECG does a very good job of sorting out atrial fibrillation from normal rhythm and are very reliable.

“The companies making and selling the EKGraph and similar devices have not done the due diligence Apple and AliveCor have done in making sure their mobile ECG devices are accurate. As far as I can tell this is just an attempt to fool naive patients and consumers by a combination of marketing misinformation and manipulation.” By ACP

You’ll be happy to know for certain that the Kardimobile brand is the most accurate, reliable EKG heart monitor on the market.

Diet plays a big role when you have A-Fib,

Simply put, a cardiac diet is an eating plan designed to limit the stress that some food can put on your heart.

Mediterranean Diet has been around for a long time, and the American Heart Association diet as well as Dash Diet, have you tried the Cardiac Diet? (very helpful and informational article).

Low salt, Low fat, High-fiber rains, more fresh produce, less red meat and alcohol in moderation. Avoid certain foods that cause high blood pressure (salt) and plaque buildup in your arteries (like fat). It prioritizes fresh, whole foods over processed and refined.

Exercise is Key to living with A-Fib

Atrial Fibrillation shouldn’t stop you from living a healthy, active lifestyle. Exercise can reduce the frequency and severity of A-Fib episodes in addition to lowering blood pressure and slowing your heart rate. Start with low impact programs, like riding a bicycle or rowing machine, yoga is great for A-Fib patients and lowers stress. For more great information please read Personal A-Fib Stories below.

Childrens eBook, You can find it on Amazon- “I love you to the moon and back”- A-Fib affects children and family too, so I always try and keep the door open for conversation with my grandson, (he’s very sensitive and won’t talk about grandma’s medical condition) so Just letting them know you love them is important. I thought this would be a good way to share that.

  1. Thank you for this informative post.

I have had experience only with emergency EKG / ECG heart monitoring after suffering from an accident over four years ago. This included leads, pads, the works. Basically, it was pretty scary as my situation wasn’t great.

This seems like a great option for those who require close monitoring of their heart and health conditions. Is this an item that can be claimed under health insurance providers for those who require this from an emergency point of view?

It would make sense for people who absolutely require this tool to have access to this for free or for a reduced rate from their health care provider.

    Thanks for sharing

    1. Hi Dale, sorry to hear about your bad experience.Truly sorry for that incident and I’m glad you’re ok.

Q: Is this an item (KardiaMobile) that can be claimed under health insurance providers for those who require this from an emergency point of view?
      A
: No, (unfortunately as of now), they don’t cover KardiaMobile EKGs. But with more research and monitoring, I’ll keep my eye on this one (Thank you).

Q: Does Medicare pay for KardiaMobile?

A: KardiaMobile products are not currently covered by Insurance, including Medicare. However, they can be paid for using a Flexible Spending Account (FSA It’s called a spend down account) (but not with KardiaMobile), Health Savings Account (HSA), or Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)

      ALERT!

Does Medicare cover Home Heart Monitors?

Yes, if a home heart monitor is deemed medically necessary by your doctor then it will be covered by Medicare. This Device must be prescribed and ordered by your doctor and then obtained from a durable medical equipment provider.

However, personal EKG devices like the KardiaMobile will not be covered by Medicare and must be paid for out-of-pocket. Those with A-Fib would benefit a great deal from KardiaMobile, they are a great innovated company working for A-Fib solutions, I trust them more that the Insurance companies. They have our back and I have theirs, so it comes down to, Do I really need one? is it affordable on a fixed Social Security income? Would It be worth paying for?

The thing is, when we need KardiaMobile is when we are sick, the EKG can only detect A-Fib when we’re going through it at that very moment. That’s why doctors don’t catch it, it comes and goes, but WE can catch it, with Kardia Mobile and send them the reading, VIOLA, no games.

Q: What are some examples of home heart monitors? (That Insurance will accept)

A: Some examples of home heart monitors include Holter and event monitors, implantable loop recorders, and cardiac rhythm management (CRM) devices. Holter and event monitors are non-invasive portable devices that use electrodes to detect your heart’s electrical activity.

Implantable loop recorders are small devices implanted in the chest or abdomen that continuously monitor your heart. And cardiac rhythm management (CRM) devices are tiny computers that are implanted into the chest to monitor and regulate your heartbeat.

It’s a No for KardiaMobile, I think they are just too easy or glamorous to the population, but their are other options. It’s up to your doctor…Bottom line! The Doctor has to submit it to Medicare, when approved, the doctor will get one of the above prescribed.

Q: My question would be, Since so many young people can get A-Fib, and do have, they can’t turn to Medicare, what then? I’ll check into that also. Thanks for bringing it to light Dale, I have many more questions, and I appreciate your comment ( and questions), Bless you, stay safe and hope your New Year is a good one,

      Thanks Dale.
